How do I point (redirect) rather than rehost?

How to redirect my website? I only want my domain http://www.sydneyba.com.au to point to sydneyba.wordpress.com not to change the entire domain registration. From the instructions I keep getting the error message and it wants me to remove the existing host.

You will need to follow these instructions then your visitors will see sydneyba.com.au when they visit your blog.

You will also need the staff to add a zone record for your domain. You could just forward the sydneyba.com.au domain to your sydneyba.wordpress.com/ blog – but then you don’t get the identity and your visitors will still see sydneyba.wordpress.com/ in their browser
