How do I post a short movie I made from my laptop to my blog without a URL?

I have a 44 second movie I made on my Iphone which I now have on my laptop. I want to make it into a youtube video so I can get a URL address to post it on my blog, for free, without buying any other services. I can’t seem to find this info anywhere on WordPress or via Google search. When I tried to “add media” like I do with photos, obviously that didn’t work but I did discover that WordPress states I should be able to do this for free, up to a size limit. Please advise.

You either:
a) buy the Videopress and space upgrades and add it that way, where it will create a Videopress file
or
b) you upload it to youtube and then embed the YouTube.No, you cannot upload videos for free here other than via the YouTube workaround.

Okay, this makes sense, but I have no idea how to “upload” my movie to Youtube…..I am new at all this.
