How do I redirect my domain name to an existing site (not wordpress)?
-
I have read the online instructions for doing this, but I can’t even tell who is hosting my domain name. I just purchased this through wordpress (3 days ago), so I can’t get a refund. However, I want to use the web address for my existing blogger account. I understand I need to change the name servers, but I don’t know who is hosting my domain, soI can’t use blogger’s instructions. I also tried to call the number I found in the domain manager. They could not help me. So, How do I transfer my domain name to my blogger blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, your domain is registered through WordPress.com.
I’m sorry to see you leave so soon! Is there anything I can do to help?
I can certainly help you point your domain to Blogger. You’ll need a unique CNAME record from them to verify your ownership, in order for us to set this up. You can obtain that CNAME record from Blogger and paste it here, and we’ll take it from there.

Thanks Kathryn! This is the info I have:
CNAME
Where it says Name, simply enter “www” and list ghs.google.com as the Host Name. See our detailed instructions on providing CNAMEs for various registrars. If yours isn’t listed, or if you run into other difficulties, contact your registrar directly and they can help you out.A-records (optional)
The following action links your naked domain (example.com) to your actual site (www.example.com). If you skip this step, visitors who leave off the “www” will see an error page.Enter your domain name in the format example.com, and list the I.P. addresses shown below in the “A” section. You’ll need to create four separate A-records which point to four different Google IPs.
216.239.32.21
216.239.34.21
216.239.36.21
216.239.38.21I tried to do this myself, but wasn’t able. This info was also available – https://support.google.com/blogger/answer/58317 – but I don’t know which hosting site has my domain name.
Is this what I need, or do I need something further?
Thanks again!

Thanks for that info. This is the second CNAME you’ll need to generate at the Blogger end:
Next, you need a second security CNAME record. When you try to register your domain in the Blogger UI, the system should fail and display two security tokens. You will need to create a second CNAME record to associate the short token (example: hqzzzn56a3ri) to the long token (example: gv-oc7x5vzzzqxirt.dv.googlehosted.com).
Once you’ve generated the unique token, post it here and we’ll take it from there.

short token: 4h3xmazdyo23 Long token:gv-tq6kgmit3yidfv.dv.googlehosted.com
Thank you SO much!

Thanks! I’ve updated your DNS records accordingly. You may need to wait some time to see your Blogger site at the address. You can also try clearing your browser’s cache.
Just a heads-up that to log into your domain manager to make these changes I needed to reset your domain manager password. (Not your WordPress.com password.) You’ll need to change it again if you need to log in in the future.
