How do I remove the excerpt templates/sentence from my start menu?

    I need help!
    Im trying to fill out or delete the areas that says ‘This is just a short excerpt for the about page.’ or ‘This is the excerpt for your very first post.’ I cant do anything with it. I have no idea how to delete them. I would really appreciate some help.

    Each of those excerpts is clearly not drawn from the corresponding page content. Therefore, I would presume that each displays what is entered in the excerpt window below the page content window at the page editor. If this is the case, then simply delete any such content and update the page.
