If you see links in your WordPress.com site that you didn’t put there, you may have a browser add-on that is causing the problem.
-First log out and delete your browser cache and cookies.
-Then disable all your browser add-ons.
-Then enable them one by one while visiting a website. This should help you identify the add-on causing the problem. If that doesn’t solve the problem, please post back here.
(FWIW-I visited a post on your site (Nothing is as sexy as the revolutionary struggle) using Chrome29 and didn’t encounter any extraneous links. If you are referring to a specific post, please give us the direct link.)

Thanks for the quick response. I don’t think I ever added any browser add-ons. The offending link is here (it is another blog I run) to Amazon.

After being all over that post I finally found the link you are referring to (“and the richest 1%, along with Amazon, Starbucks, big property developers, and downtown business interests”) where “Amazon” is linked to Amazon. So, it appears that WordPress.com has added advertising to your site.
Here’s what it says in the Support Doc on Advertising:
Note: To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements from partners like Sharethrough and SkimLinks. We try hard to only run them in limited places. If you would like to completely eliminate ads from appearing on your blog, we offer the No-Ads Upgrade.
