How do I retrieve old wordpress files?

I had wordpress hosting for my site a year ago but let it lapse. How can I retrieve my old content for this account? My notification archive is still available. Thank you

I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, http://politicalsportsmanship.com appears to have been a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which we really can’t help with. You might want to reach out to your webhost’s support team as they may be able to assist.
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/
