How Do i set a page as homepage??

How do i set a page as homepage? i did it under settings>reading and selecting my page as the homepage. but when i load my website, it says ‘This page isn’t workingtritionx.com redirected you too many times.

hi my website is tritionx.com under wordpress.org. I created a webpage and put it as my homepage (the page where people type in my website lands on). but when I press save and try to check on my updated website, it goes on 301 redirect error and displays this:
‘This page isn’t working tritionx.com redirected you too many times.

The problem is that I can’t set any pages as my homepage (static page). What is going on? It only works when I put [your homepage displays the latest posts]. but I want it as a static page.

For help with your website, which is using the open source WordPress software, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support where you’ll find documentation and forums where they have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.
