How do I set up email forwarding with GMAIL

    I have a custom domain (MiriamPrichardCounseling.com) that I purchased through WordPress.com to use with my site. I have turned on email forwarding so that I receive email to my account that is sent to “(email visible only to moderators and staff).” I would now like to set up Gmail to allow for me to send through Gmail from my miriamprichardcounseling.com account but when I go to set it up it asks me for the SMTP server for miriamprichardcounseling.com as well as the username and password and everything I have tried has not worked. I also haven’t found any information on your site or in the WordPress.com forums. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

    Hi there,

    Due to changes that Gmail made to their service, it isn’t possible to send email from a custom domain’s email address unless you have a Google Apps account or have email service with an email provider.
