  how do I split my posts into columns

  You cannot split yopur posts into two columns. However, you can create two columns within a post or page. https://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/formatting-text-pt-1/

  Thanks for the reply. I must be missing something. When I did as suggested by the link you posted nothing happened. First, my edit button only says edit (no mountain picture). Second, in text the icon links above don’t say anything about alignment. When I clicked on the code button I was lost. Is there something I’m missing? I’m working on a Mac and wonder if that makes a difference.
