how do I transfer a domain within 60 days

  I am trying to transfer a domain to square space but I keep getting “This record cannot be added, as it conflicts with an existing WordPress.com record.” when I try to ad a new A record DNS record. Is this happening because I have recently renewed the domain?

  Hi there,

  By default, your domain has an A record at the root level (for the domain itself) so the domain is handled by WordPress.com. If you’re trying to add a new A record to point the whole domain somewhere else (like Squarespace) you’ll need to edit the existing A record to add the new details there. Otherwise, you’ll get that message that the new record conflicts with an existing record.
