How do I transfer domain to new host?

    I want to transfer my domain to Hostgator and point to that domain. I have the Hostgator site ready, but I need to know what to do now. My domain name is “beaufortpublicsafety.com”. I’ve been told by Hostgator that I’m registered with WildWestDomains.com, but I don’t know how to login and make the changes since I actually registered through WordPress.

    To point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), please follow the instructions here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/#changing-domain-name-servers

    Note you will need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)

    You can follow this guide if you want to transfer the domain name to another registrar instead.
