How do I upgrade my website to have a store connected?

    I want to create a site for my partner who is an artist. Do I have access through the premium WordPress website option? Is it something I’ll have to pay in addition for?

    Hi there,

    It depends what you want in a store.

    If we’re looking at low volume sales a free WordPress.com site might be sufficient. You can use a combination of a contact form and a Buy Now PayPal button to take orders and payments from customers:

    On the other hand, if you want a full-integrated eCommerce site with a shopping cart, multiple payment options, etc, you’ll need a plugin like WooCommerce. On WordPress.com that requires the Business Plan, though you can also use plugins on the self-hosted version of WordPress, called WordPress.org.
