How do we allow people to view/visit the website but not allow them to edit the site?

  We know you go to My sites/Manage/people but do we have to have the site public or private or ?

  Only the owner of a site is able to edit his site. No one else can do so.

  Hi there,

  If you’re concerned about the Edit link you can see on posts and pages on the site, that is only visible to you as a logged-in admin on the site. Visitors to your site do not see that link – you can check this yourself by loading your site in an incognito browser window.
