How do you get your page to actually look like the Theme you choose?

    Shalom

I’m fairly new to WordPress, so this is probably a silly question….
I activated the Gazette theme and my site looks nothing like the theme demo. The theme has a nice picture menu, yet my page looks plain and bland and I can’t find where to set up these features…

    Thanks

    Hi Yoram,

That’s not a silly question at all. :) Depending on the theme you choose for your site, there can be some additional steps to set it up like the theme’s demo site.

For the Gazette theme you chose, you can find instructions for using its special features on the Gazette support page. You’ll find corresponding settings for the theme in your site’s Customizer, in the Theme Options and Featured Content sections there.

Gazette also relies quite a bit on Featured Images in your blog posts. When you add featured images to your posts, they will appear on your site’s front page — and if you set up the featured content settings for your site, you can feature certain posts with their featured images at the very top of the page like in the theme demo.

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
