How does the archives widget get updated.

  I am using the archives widget. Why hasn’t the month of July been added to the archives pull-down list? Only the month of June is displayed.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there, the archives widget should show months in which at least one public post was made. It looks like only private posts were added in July.

  Private pages are intended to be hidden to anyone who doesn’t know the page’s URL, so that’s why they wouldn’t be displayed in the archives, which are available to anyone who can view your site.

  I noticed that your blog is set to private, but you’ve also made most pages private as well. If your entire blog is private, is there a special reason why the pages also need to be set as private individually? If you removed the per-page privacy settings, then the archives would display all your pages.

  Now I do understand. I will set my pages to public but leave the blog as private. Then the archives widget should display all the pages.
