How long does it take for deleted URL's to become available again?

  I accidentally made a typo in my initial URL registration but didn’t realize till days later. So I created a new site thinking I’d start from scratch, but then realized it’d probably be easier to just “Change site URL” and transfer the existing blog information .. I deleted the second site hoping that I could now redirect my first site .. but it’s saying that the URL for the second site (the one I deleted yesterday) still “isn’t available”. Help!

  I’m afraid there is no help. As the warnings say, all deletions of URLs here are permanent and irreversible. I suggest you look at getting a custom domain instead, or choose an entirely different name.

  Really? there’s no way to contact WordPress to remedy it?

  You can contact WordPress directly till you’re blue in the face but it will do you no good. The email is Support at wordpress dot com.

  I think you’re right. Thanks for the help though, I think it’s probably easier to start from scratch!
