How long until address available again?

    Some time ago I created a new blog and then deleted it again to “free” the address for a friend of mine (yes, I now know, I should have transferred the blog to him). Whenever my friend wants to create his own blog with this address, it says “site already exists”. So how long do you normally have to wait until the address of a deleted blog is available again?

    Never.

    Deletions are permanent.

    I’m having the same problem. If you delete a blog, why isn’t the address deleted along with it…or why can’t that address be recovered by the original author?
