How much activity is required to keep the blog active?

Hi.
I have been blogging about healing from child abuse for five years, and I am ready to move on to other ventures. Even though I have not added new content in several weeks, the blog is still receiving well over 1,000 views a day, and I don’t want the blog pulled down due to my inactivity. It’s a great resource for healing from child abuse.
How much activity is required for the blog to stay active? I don’t want to keep blogging, but I also don’t want this resource taken down. What steps can I take to keep the blog up? As long as I keep approving new comments, will the blog stay up indefinitely?
