  How much can I quote from books?

  I want to read books and then write about them in my blog. What I’m wondering is how much I am allowed to quote the books when I write about them (I will leave info such as author and page). There probably won’t be long sections quoted – a sentence of two-, but quite a few.

  I’d say that would be up to the authors or publishers.

  You could read up on the “Fair Use Doctrine” however.
