How to access a page if the previous owner did not leave any login details?

I am a new member to my marketing team & it appears previously someone created a WordPress page but no one knows who it was or the login details.
I was wondering how I can gain control of this page (can I prove I work for the company it was developed for?)

Proof that you work for the company won’t help, as WordPress.com sites don’t belong to companies. They belong to the individual who owns the account that created the site. Even if they made the site for a company they work for, we see the individual as the owner of the site.
So to gain control over the site, you need to verify that you are the owner of the WordPress.com account in question, and the only verification we’re able to accept are the ones listed in our account recovery steps:
Without that verification, we won’t be able to give you control of the account and site.
