How to add a post to the category menu without it having a drop down on the menu
-
I have gotten my post under the category I want (Jodie Says) but it shows up as a drop down on the menu. How do I get my post under that category but not as a drop down? I want people to click on that category to get to that post and every post that I want under that category. My blog is mylittlepieceofhomestead.wordpress.com if it helps to see what I’m talking about.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I want people to click on that category to get to that post and every post that I want under that category.
The menu item “Jodie Says” is linked to the “Jodie Says” category page, https://mylittlepieceofhomestead.wordpress.com/category/jodie-says/. If you add the category “Jodie Says” to other posts, then they will also be included in the category page. So this goal has already been achieved.
The other goal, not displaying posts in a drop-down menu below a top-level menu item, in this case a category, can be achieved even more simply. You don’t have to add a post assigned to a certain category to the custom menu to have it display in the corresponding category page. Solution: Just remove any posts already added as subcategories to category menu items, and don’t any more posts as subcategories to category menu items.

Just make sure that you add at least one category to every post which you’d like to be included in one or more category pages.
