How to add amazon widget?

    Hi,

I made recently an upgrade to WP Premium for my side and thought I could now add customized widgets to my side. I would like to add a certain widget from Amazon, a “recommendation widget” with DVD’s about horse racing which I want to recommend to my readers in the content sidebar, as that would value to my side. This widget would be build in Amazon associates and I can easily create there the link which looks like this:

    <SCRIPT charset=”utf-8″ type=”text/javascript” src=”http://ws-eu.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?rt=tf_mfw&ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=GB&ID=V20070822%2FGB%2Fhorintcom-21%2F8001%2F5537dc7d-02ff-49d1-9b22-cb8ea44bd686″> </SCRIPT> <NOSCRIPT>Amazon.co.uk Widgets</NOSCRIPT>

How can I install this widget on my wordpress side? When I try to do this via the add widget function via the text/html feature, it doesn’t show up properly. My site is horseracing-international.com.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Many thanks,
    Florian

It is not possible to install widgets on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Widgets can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs. Here’s some information about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

The code you included in your post is not allowed here on WordPress.com for security reasons. There are several types of embed code that we don’t allow on WordPress.com for security reasons, such as iframes and script. You can read more about the code we do and don’t allow here:

    Add Code to Your Site

If including this widget is necessary for your site, you may want to consider moving to a self hosted WordPress.

Let me know if I can help further!
