How to add users to our goup blog?

I thought I had it sorted out: telling my friends to register and send me username and email, and then I could do it.
But I only get: “no such user on worldpress.com”.

That is how it’s done. You need only enter the user names in your privacy tab. Be sure to enter them exactly.

Sry, but I only find a “Users”-interface, and it asks for <b>email</b> (not user name), and state that no one got the email of my friend on wordpress.
Have not found a “privacy”-interface. God know I’ve looked, but must have overlooked. Where is it?

They need to have a user ID already on WP, but you invite them using the email. Looks like you’re on the right page. Things changed recently. The email you use to invite them MUST be the same as the one they are registered with at WP.com. Could that be the issue?

My friend has registered, yes, and gave his email and picked an alias, and sent it to me. But still I have not been able to locate him on wordpress. Must be something wrong with his registration. I will investigate!
My friends are lining up to join, we being a group of roleplayers trying to use the blog as a web-resource for our campaign, so I need to resolve this for the thing to function.

You should just be able to invite him with the same email as he registered with. Be sure they registered with WordPress.COM and not some independent WordPress install. That sometimes trips people up. If that’s not the issue, then I guess we’ll have to see if someone else has got any ideas.

Perhaps we’re talking about two different things. I have a private blog. When I add someone, all I have to do is add their username in Privacy. No formal email invitation is needed, but of course I do send an email to let them know when I’ve added them.
