how to change mx and cname as I an email hosting on another site
-
Hi. My email hosting at MelbouneIT (one of Australia biggest IT providers) has given me these settings to use
MX Records:
Priority 10: mx1.bne.server-mail.com.
Priority 50: mx2.bne.server-mail.com.CNAME records:
mail IN CNAME mail.bne.server-mail.com.
pop IN CNAME pop.bne.server-mail.com.
smtp IN CNAME smtp.bne.server-mail.com.
autodiscover IN CNAME autodiscover-redirect.server-secure.com.and Im not sure how these settings map onto your change DNS settings e.g. what to put under “ALIAS OF…” in the cname fields. Thanks for any help
Cheers, Mark

Hi there!
It looks like you almost had this set up correctly. With the CNAMEs the first text box should be the short subdomain (mail) and the second text box is the URL to direct to (mail.bne.server-mail.com).
I’ve corrected your CNAME records, so your email should start working soon!
Let me know if its still not working in 24 hours.
