How to change the site's permanent name

  Hi. I have created semperfimadison.org. I signed up with that address; however, the system assigned semperfimadisondotorg.wordpress.com. I was able to get the semperfimadison.org name, but semperfimadisondotorg.wordpress.com is still hanging around, and I’d like to change that to read semperfimadison.wordpress.com. How do I do that?

  If you would like to change the URL of your WordPress.com site, there are options and instructions for doing so here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

  Please bear in mind that once changed, that site’s WordPress.com URL will become permanently unavailable for future use.
