How to create a searchable database on WordPress for my business

I want to create a WordPress site where I will upload excel files (database) that users can search through (searchable) and then be able to purchase the entries, if they want to. Should I use WordPress business to get relevant plugins? Would that work?

There are plugins that will allow you to import information to host in a database on the site, but most of those use .csv files. These files can be viewed in spreadsheet software like Excel, but they’re not Excel files. I’ve never heard of using regular Excel files for a database like this.
To use plugins on WordPress.com will require our Business Plan, but we’re not able to advise you on which plugins to use – there are over 50 000 different WordPress plugins, and that’s just those that are listed in the official plugin directory on WordPress.org. These forums provide support to owners of free WordPress.com sites, who cannot use plugins at all, so we simply don’t have the knowledge of the plugins available to advise you in this regard.
For help finding the right plugin I suggest you search online for something like “WordPress database plugin”. You can also ask in the support forums on WordPress.org, or look what’s available in the plugin directory over there:
