How to create a site with multiple locations that also has different shops and events.
-
Hi I have a question regarding building a site with multiple locations. How would I go about building a site that has 5 different locations and when the certain location is clicked on there is a different shop. For example, you open to generic homepage and then can click to the correct location for your area and are taken to that stores specific event info and shop which is different for each location.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@ericahollanddesign I’m not sure what your best option would be — these forums are for the free sites hosted here at WordPress.com, and free sites here can’t install outside plugins (that’s requires our business plan), so we don’t get plugin questions as often as they do over at the WordPress.org community forums.
But I do have a few questions that might help in your search. Are you building a single site with five different locations, or are you having one landing page that points to five different sites? And, if you’re using a single site / five locations, do you also need to take care of different languages for those locations as well?

I guess it would be more like a landing page with 5 different sites since the all the locations needs to have their own specific information and stores. And they will all be in English.

Yes, that what I was thinking as well. Sounds like a you would need to establish a multisite network. More information on that here:
https://www.wpbeginner.com/glossary/multisite/
However, as @supernovia mentioned, this would be better established on a self-hosted site rather than here on WordPress.com. However, there is a community forum that would be happy to help you with further advice on how to establish your sites. You can pose this same question here:

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your help I think multisite network is what i am looking for. I have posted in the other forum as well!

Does the pro site come with the multi site feature or do I need to pay more each sub domain I add?

Hi there,
Multisite is not supported on WordPress.com. However, you can purchase a plan for each one of your sub-sites and map them as a subdomain to your main site. You can see how this works here:

I realize that but is an option on WordPress.org without having to purchase multiple domains?

Ok so if I choose the e-commerce version for
$45 a month a will be able to have this capability of adding multiple domains correct? -
No, we do not support multisite at WordPress.com at all. You would need separate sites and an eCommerce plan for each.
If you really want to do this, you’re probably better off using the self-hosted WordPress.org software, which will support multisite (multiple subdomained sites on one installation).
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
