How to deal with spam?

    My site is constantly spamed. I’ve already deleted 6000 spam comments in the last week. Even if Akismet blocks them, I still have to delete them manually. Additonally, WordPress gets a execution timeout when deleting ~1000+ spam comments at once.

    As you can see, comments come in almost minutely. All accounts are individual. A single user never comments twice.

    I’m helplessly extradited. I can’t configure Akismet to automatically delete certain comments and I can’t block certain ip-addresses from accessing my blog. All I can do is disable comments entirely or hope that it will end. What shall I do?

    I think the best option is to contact the folks working on Akismet directly for some guidance. it sounds like you may need to make some adjustments to your settings.
