How to delete a corrupt database but reuse the domain name?

    Hi my database is corrupt so I can’t get into it via the domain/wp-admin route.
    I have an earlier version of the site elsewhere so I am happy to lose all the contents and then migrate from another site.
    How do I delete the database while still being able to use the domain name?
    I am fairly new to websites and wordpress so am reluctant to investigate FTP options…
