How to delete blog when I have lost access to the primary email where link sent?
-
I want to delete a blog however I don’t have access to the primary email account that was originally used for the blog. I have since changed the email for wordpress however, when I try to delete the blog it says “Thank you. Please check your email for a link to confirm your action. Your blog will not be deleted until this link is clicked” (I’m assuming it was sent to the original email address and not the one now affiliated with the account) however I don’t have access to that account any longer. What can I do?

I found that even though I was receiving emails from wordpress (such as the email message about this forum post) at the new account, however what I needed to do was go a step further to the dashboard of that blog and I found that there was an additional place where I needed to change the email address and remove the old one. I first changed the email address under account settings not on the actual blog’s dashboard area, I didn’t know there were two places to change the email account or rather remove the other account even though there as well the new account was listed.
I however can’t give the exact steps and location since… yay!, the blog has finally been deleted. Hopefully this could be of some help to those frustrated about not being able to gain access to a previous email account. You can still change the account for the blog (of course if you have access to the blog) and then delete the blog if needed. Frustration gone… it only took a long long while, and fooling around with all the dashboard headings ^_^
