  I get a 404-error so that link has been deleted.

  What do you exactly mean because that link gives a 404-error File not found. So that file has been succesfully deleted.

  I don’t understand what happens… I believe that you see 404-error, but when I click the link, its content still appears…

  I deleted this PDF from the media files.

  That’s because your browser has that link and site in its cache. Clear your browser cache or just wait till the ‘problem’ solves itself.
