How to Fix “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons”

  Hi, I don’t have access to plugins at all because I don’t have a business account, and I don’t know how to edit the wp-config.php file – I’ve looked around for advice but nothing is seeming to work. I’ve wanted to upload an audio file from my computer but whether its AICC or MP3 or MP4, nothing seems to work and I just keep getting that message. Any way to fix?

  Are you on the free plan? An upgraded plan is required to store audio files in your WordPress.com site’s Media Library. See: https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/
