How to fix sub-menu so it only shows the parent pages instead of the sub pages?

  I’ve created a menu with 4 parent pages and about 8 subpages. The subpages are appearing on the main bar instead of on the drop down of the parent page link on the main menu at the top of the page. The result is that it’s covering the title and some of the background for the page and taking too much space.

  The Shelf theme doesn’t support submenus at this time, so all of the items in your custom menu will appear at the top level in the menu. If you have any other questions about this theme, you’re welcome to contact the theme author directly in the Shelf support forum here:
