How to ftp to my wordpress site to access htaccess

We have been receiving vulnerabilities on our wordpress site basinelectric.net and are attempting to access our htaccess file on our site, but we have not had any luck ftp’ing to this site. Can you please point us in the right direction to get us to this as we are attempting to prevent further vulnerabilities to our site. Thank you!
