How to get past "Oops, it looks like…" when setting up email on my new domain?
-
I moved a new domain over to wordpress, and the domain itself is working fine, but email has died. When I click “Add Email” I get a message that says, “Oops, it looks like you don’t have access to verify the domain in question.” I have added txt DNS record and even got into a Google Apps admin page, but now it is forcing me to validate the account by sending an email TO THAT ACCOUNT (rather than the personal one I listed when setting it up. This is urgent as NOBODY in my organization has email while this is happening.

Just to be sure, are you following this guide?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/
The setup assistant for Google Apps will walk you through the verification process that works with our system.

Thanks for your reply. We got it sorted out. The issue was verification via the TXT or CNAME records. The syntax wasn’t clear, and it wasn’t obvious how to tell whether the records had been updated. All working well (as of about 2 hours ago), so I’m cautiously claiming victory.
Thanks again for following up.
