How to get posts on different menus
-
I have created my wordpres menu where I have a bit called SadStories and a Day to Day catch up. I want to be able to post different things on each but every post I make just adds it to SadStories. I read something about creating a custom menu and oncluding a mutliple dynamic menu with categories but i do not have that option. TIA
The site I need help with is sadtimeswithlauren.wordpress.com.

Hi there,
It is possible to do that by using categories that you assign to each blog post to filter the view you see. For example I see you set up this “category page” in your menu:
https://sadtimeswithlauren.wordpress.com/category/sad-stories/
It shows all posts that you have added the “Sad Stories” category to. If I look here in your category manages I see that 6 of your blog posts have that category added to them, which is why 6 blog posts show up on the page on your site: https://wordpress.com/settings/taxonomies/category/sadtimeswithlauren.wordpress.com
If I can ask, what is the other category you are trying to show posts for? I did not see any category called “Day to Day” listed at the above link. Have you not added it to any posts yet? Once you do, it is possible to set up a second “category page” in your menu so show just your Day to Day posts.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Hi, it sounds like you’re trying to set up category pages.
Here’s how to go about it:
https://wordpress.com/support/posts/categories/#category-pages-menusThen set the categories for the posts as needed.
If you don’t want to use Category Pages, you could use a Posts Block to just show certain posts from a category wherever you’d like, on any page:
