How to go back to 'account set up'

    I don’t think my blog was set up completely. I set up a blog yesterday. Before (I think) I totally finished set up, I had to stop to teach a class. My macbook timed me out so when I went back to WordPress, I had to log in. For sure I got as far as choosing a name (URL) ~ recreathomeblog.com, and a password. But ……I must have missed some steps in set up when the laptop timed me out.
    Because today I was looking at a video tutorial for beginners and it shows where the ‘tutor’ receives an email with an activation code….I never got an activation email with link to set up as shown in the tutorial. So….I think that’s why when I log on to my blog account, it goes straight to a window where it appears I’d write my first post. But there’s a generic ‘title’ at the top that says Site Title…and I can’t figure out how to change it so that the title of my blog appears. Another weird thing, the tutorial shows where the ‘tutor’ (acting as a new user) creates a tag line…..but during my set up, I was never asked for a tagline. I think all of this means that I never quite completed the set up process. Is there a way to go back to account set up so I can recheck everything, because I’m pretty sure I’ve missed some steps.

    That’s a fairly new thing. The powers that be have decided that every new WordPress.com site will have the title “Site Title” at the time of creation. It can be changed very quickly and easily. See the Changing your Site Title and Tagline section of the General Setting support page.

    If you are unable to made that edit, or take other administrative actions, then you might have to look into the email activation link issue. Sometimes the notification can be placed in an alternate folder in your email, such as “Social.” Also check the spam folder.

    It isn’t possible to do that during the creation of the site process anymore. So you didn’t miss anything wrt that. See the link I provided above.

    No. However, any (possible) changes that you’d like to make wrt the account or the site can be made now. You may create new sites, and new accounts, and in doing so see the entire creation process.
