How to hand out a password protected post URL with the password embedded?
-
I like FaceBook’s feature where a post can be invisible to the public, but visible to anyone to whom I email its exact URL.
To accomplish the same in WordPress with its password protection (without subjecting the user to the hassle of a password dialog) is it possible to add the password to the protected post URL I’ll email out? Something like http://www.blogpost.url?pass=password or whatever the correct syntax is. So any invitee clicking the link in my email goes right to the protected post without a password dialog box.

You can put anything you want in an email, including both the link to and the password to a page or post.
