How to have a different display name for different blogs

    is it possible to have different user names within one account?

    Hello – I have recently started a blog, with my username karmaquinta (which is also the name of the blog) which is a shared blog with my partner. Since then I have registered two more blogs, and as a result they have the karmaquinta username.

    What I want to be able to do is to have the display name of the two blogs (non-karmaquinta ones) to be my actual name. I cannot see how I can do this.

    Do I need to open a second acount under my name, and then transfer the two blogs to that account in order to have the display name as my name?

    And if so – how do I do this?

    Hello

    Thanks, I had found these options before I posted, but they did not answer my particular query.

    I have one account, one user name, but three blogs.

    What I would like to be able to do, is to change and set as a default a different ‘Display Name’ for each of the blogs. For example the karmaquinta, has the byline, ‘By karmaquinta’. Which is great. But I would like for the other blogs, to have ‘By My Name’.

    What I now wonder is, if I should just open another account, and transfer the 2 other blogs to that account? Does this make sense? Because I can’t see a way of running different blogs from the same account (user name), and having different ‘Display Name’ settings for them.

    When I set up my account I didn’t understand the username importance, etc.

    Thanks for clarifying what you’re trying to do. As you suspect, it’s not possible to set multiple display names with only one username. In this case, you may indeed want to create another user account and transfer the appropriate sites to them.
