How to have most recent blog post listed first
-
Please explain how my most recent blog can always be the first one on the page.
-
Hi there,
By default blog posts are displayed in reverse chronological order. This means that the latest post is displayed at the top.
What’s the blog you’re referring to so I can have a closer look?
-
It’s offthehooknow.Wordpress.com
I published a new post yesterday and it is not visible as the latest posting. The one with the “featured” widget always stays on top, and I don’t want it that way.
Any help will be appreciated. I tried to do it myself on two occasions but throw up my hands!
Thank you for your support.
Richard

The latest post on that blog is titled kidney hunting and it was published over a year ago (July 2019). The rest were published in 2018. There isn’t a recent post or draft.

No, you’re looking at the wrong site. There are two sites. Go to the other one, a d you’ll see what I mean!
-
The one you looked at says “Site Title”.
The one you should look at says “offthehook”
Thank you!!!
RichardPS: Once the initial matter is fixed, I’d like to blow away the site that says “Site Title”. It’s unnecessary, it’s out of date, and it confuses people.
I just don’t want to blow it away if that would also effect the contents of the other site.

Ah okay.
Looking at
https://offthehooknow.wordpress.com/ the latest post mentions kidneys.https://offthehooknowblog.wordpress.com/ has two sticky posts. Can you edit the first one to remove the sticky status, publish changes, then do the same with the second?

Then, if you’d like, you can use export+import and a site redirect to combine both sites into one, or remove the one you don’t want. I’d recommend just making it private for a while if you’re not sure whether they’ll affect each other’s content.
