how to hide old website in search results

    Hello! I recently deleted my webpage (and created a new one) and my old site still shows up in search results. When people click on it, it says this page has been deleted. Is there any way to clear or hide it from google?

    millysfinecakes.wordpress.com is no longer available.
    The authors have deleted this site.

    Deleting a WordPress.com site leaves that message which will now display on the Interweb until the end of time. My advice would have been to set an unwanted WordPress.com free site to “private” as then the “deleted” placeholder wouldn’t display and the site wouldn’t be indexed by search engines.
    PS: If you deleted that site less than 30 days ago it could still be recovered by staff. Then you could either set the site to private or leave the site up with a redirect message to your new site.
