How to I use MathML in WordPress?

How do I use MathML in WordPress.com? While I know you support Latex, I do not want to learn another complicated markup language for the purpose of a couple of blog posts. Libre Office’s Gui Formula editor outputs MathML that renders without difficulty in my browser, but when I put it in the html section, I get garbled text displayed in the gui side.

    Hi there!

We don’t support MathML here in WordPress.com. The only math formatting we support is LaTeX.

    LaTeX

Sorry I can’t be more helpful! Let me know if you have any other questions.

If I follow the instructions on the page by placing the example in the view text area, I don’t get a rendered formula. I just get the same exact text. It shows up as “$latex LaTeX&bg=ffcccc&fg=cc00ff&s=4$” in both the visual and the text view.

    Hi there!

    I just placed the code

    $latex LaTeX&bg=ffcccc&fg=cc00ff&s=4$

into my test site and it worked correctly:

If you could, save your test as a draft so I can figure out why it’s not working.
