How to install plugins to free WordPress site?

  I used to have WordPress installed on my other sites and I was able to install plugins but with the free one, I can’t seem to find it. Do I have to pay for this feature or host it on a separate site? Is there no way to upload it to the free WordPress?

  There is no way to upload plugins to the WordPress.com site.

  Most of those functions are already enabled here by default. Take a look at your Settings->Sharing page and your Settings->Discussion page.

  There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

  There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins and or any third party themes. If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.
