how to link an existing CNAME to a domain ? your explanations doesn't work.
-
Hello,
first :
we tried entering ns1.wordpress.com ns2 & ns3 to our domain, but it fails for .fr domains because your NS fail on the AFNIC’s zone check :
http://www.afnic.fr/outils/zonecheck/zc.cgi?ns2=ns3.wordpress.com.&ns0=ns1.wordpress.com.&zone=creatricesabc.fr&progress=counter&intro=t&details=t&afnic=&ns1=ns2.wordpress.com.&explain=tthen :
we tried to register a CNAME as (by memory) : www IN CNAME xxx creatricesabc.wordpress.com (actually, you can verify : host http://www.creatricesabc.fr) and then make it recognized in your interface, but it says “failed”…so :
what can we do ? we don’t want to register our domain name with your services, but we want to use your services for web hosting, and we are ready to pay for that.thank you for your answer.
best regards,

Had you followed these instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
You would have seen that you needed to add a zone record for your domain name: creatricesabc.fr
I added a zone record for you – please follow the instructions above to map your blog to your domain name.
