How to make a simple posting

  I still can’t find out whether I’ve posted a second post. There’s got to be an easy way to do, but the seemingly easy way leaves me with a mess that doesn’t communicate anything clear.

  Go here > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts and click the Add New link

  If Posts are created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover it from revisions if needs be.

  I recommend:
  Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
  Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
  Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/
  Always allow pages to fully load before clicking any other links.

  I have no idea what “an offline blog editor” is, nor do I believe I should know. I believe I used the recommended form, via the “Add New” icon, yet I can’t find a way to edit what I see on my own blog, nor am I sure that what my second post was actually posted/published. Again, this is so much more confusing than it needs to be, and I’m running out of puter time to deal with it.

  A word of advice: Do not ever use the New Post button on the grey admin bar. It does not trigger the autosave, and people constantly complain that their posts get lost when they use it. Don’t use it.
