How to make the switch from wordpress.com to wordpress.org?

    I have recently bought a hosting plan from godaddy.com as I want to use wordpress.org to use plugins for my website.

    I have installed wordpress through godaddy, but the dashboard hasn’t changed for my website; I don’t get the options that should come along with the wordpress install. I am thinking this might be because my website is still built with the free wordpress; the Twenty-Eleven theme for example.

    Do I need to delete this website and start over? I don’t mind this as I had not done much yet. I Just want to make sure I keep the domain name.

    You’ll need to direct your domain name to GoDaddy by changing your nameservers through your domain registrar.
