How To Move Domain To Another Blog?

    My fiancé’s birthday is coming up and I wanted to surprise her. She owns lauramichellereed.com but has wanted to start a second blog crawfordcravings.com. I wanted it to be registered on her account so I sneaked on to buy the domain, but stupid me, I registered it for her existing blog, not for a new one.

    I thought I could cancel and refund it, then do it again the right way. Now the refund seems to be pending in limbo and I don’t know whether I can set her up for her birthday in time.

    What can I do?
    Or, can you help me?

    Hi Daniel,

    What a great birthday idea!

    If you can log in to her account again, you can go to the My Upgrades page to move the domain from one blog to another. Don’t cancel the domain — you can use the “Transfer to another site” link to move it from one blog to another, instead.

    If you run into trouble with that, you’ll need to get in touch while logged in to her account, since that’s the account you used to purchase the domain. (We can’t make any changes to that domain without hearing from the account that owns it.) Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
