How to NOT send an email to followers when I make a new post.

    I have searched for an answer to this, but all the discussions are old and for previous versions of WP, so I want to try again. I am posting some old information to my blog. I want it on the blog, but I do NOT want notification going to my followers/subscribers because it is old. How can I disable the notifications for the short term, just to get this ‘old’ information posted, then re-enable notifications when I start posting my new/current stuff?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    Set your site to private. Then email notifications will not go out for new posts you publish.

    Once you’ve published the posts, set your site back to public.
