How to paste text into the blog.

    I drafted my post on my iPad. I can copy and paste from the writing app to email and notes, but I cannot copy and paste from any of them into the body of my blog. (Weirdly, I can paste into the blog title, but if I copy that, it still won’t let me paste it where it belongs.)

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey Ivy,

    First, can you let me know what version of the app you’re using? You can find this out by opening the app and clicking “Settings” in the upper right-hand corner (you’ll need to be on the “Me” tab). From there, click “About”, and you should see a number under “WordPress for iOS”. That’s your app version.

    Second, what writing app are you creating the content in prior to copying and pasting?

    Well, I can’t even answer your question. I access my WordPress dashboard from Google, and there is no “Me” tab, nor can I find an “about” link anywhere.

    Hi Ivy!

    Are you using the iPad app to create your blog post or are you logging in through the browser on the iPad? It looks like the pasting issue is an issue with the mobile app. However, if you log in through the browser on your iPad, you should be able to paste content. Can you confirm how you’re creating the blog post on your side (through the app or through the browser)?

    Hey Ivy,

    I actually just tried this again, and I was able to paste in the body of the blog post in both the iPad app and when visiting WordPress.com through the browser. Can you let me know if you’re still having trouble with this and which why you’re trying to compose the new post?

    I’ve closed the issue on GitHub as it doesn’t appear to be an issue with the app.

    I just tried it again, and this time it worked. We’ll blame internet gremlins for the problem I was having on Monday. You must have scared them off. Thanks.
