How to recover a WordPress account where our Webmaster has died

Our former webmaster has died, leaving a live WordPress hosted blog live (with 3 posts from 2010). With information that is misleading people. It’s a free account so no help coming from WordPress. We just want to delete the blog posts and close that account. I have a personal self-hosted travel blog, but the account I need to close is for a small recreation club for senior citizens.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Woops. That is not the blog I need help with. The blog I need help with is taierirecreationaltrampingclub.wordpress.com which our Club was not even aware existed. Our Webmaster must have set up the 2010 as a trial, and only made 3 posts, then set up a hosted one which our Club has used ever since trtc.blogtown.co.nz so all we need to do now is delete the 3-post one. But we have no access to any recovery avenues. The Webmaster died without mentioning the 2010 blog. His wife has also died. Essentially it was not his account, but he set it up on behalf of our Club. We just want to delete the wordpress.com blog and account. But it seems very hard. Which I understand but there’s just nobody to listen and we seem to be helpless.
